The first GBRFF in 2016 was a fun-filled weekend of film that presented a range of feature, short films, documentaries and film industry talks, plus the interactive movie experience 'Elvis in Paradise'.

The 2016 GBRFF also offered kids and audiences a fun way of enjoying film and related media through a variety of experiences and workshops including kids film workshops, and the Bommie Award Winning 360 virtual reality underwater experience of the reef.

The GBRFF invites everyone to come and enjoy the fun.  Film enthusiasts, budding film makers, film students and film professional are encouraged to network and develop new projects and innovations through the forums and workshops in a picturesque, tropical island environment. We're also encouraging people to give us feedback so that we can make the 2018 GBRFF a unique, inspiring and fun event. So come along and enjoy GBRFF 2017 on Magnetic Island, North Queensland.
